Silent Clip- Branches

This clip is some more still images, but of bush branches, and a weird branch fort-like object. At this point I was beginning to come up with some ideas for my final video, I was going to focus on contrasting themes like night and day and have some type of connection between the two but the more footage I gathered, the more I began to change my mind.

Silent Clip: Pathways

This brief clip is made of stills, these are some of the pictures I took at the end of a few blocks. I usually snapped pictures in the middle of a block, at an intersection or at the corner of a block. I really liked the idea of pathways and I wanted to include the concept of pathways connecting and bare trees in my final video, but I couldn't seem to figure out a way to put it all together in a creative, abstract way.

Drift Strategy

My drift strategy for my sound recordings was a penny toss. Every head the penny would land on I would turn left at the end of the block, for every tail I would turn right. If I ended up at a dead end I would re flip the penny at the nearest corner.
For my images and video recordings I chose three strategies: mimic bouncing, peripheral vision and capturing trees w/out leaves. I also took pictures about every other block and when I was filming sometimes I would hang the camera over my back or by on my wrist as I was walking. I used a variety of strategies because I liked the idea of seeing things at different angles and plus, filming the original way can get a little boring after a while.
